Your Child Can Step Up and Floss With One of Our Kids Step Stools

Posted on

If you have been keeping up on our blogs, you know how very important oral hygiene is for everyone, especially our children. Teaching your child how to take care of their teeth at an early age helps them to develop good habits that will follow them throughout their lives. However, too many of us neglect flossing ourselves, and not enough of us teach our children to floss. Flossing, just like brushing your teeth and washing your hands, is much more difficult when you can't see in the mirror, and that is why you need a kid's step stool.

A personalized stool is just what you have been looking for to give your child the step up that they need to floss properly. Unfortunately, brushing can only remove the plaque on the surface of the teeth and the only way to get the plaque out from between the teeth is to floss. Flossing is one of those things that just takes a couple of minutes, yet we tend to avoid it anyway. Flossing is easy! All you have to do is follow these simple steps:

  1. Unwind the floss and break it off at around 18 inches. A good rule of thumb is the length of your child's elbow to their fingertip.
  2. Wind some of the floss around one middle finger and the rest of the floss around the other middle finger. Instruct your child to hold the floss tightly between their thumb and forefinger.
  3. Guide the floss gently between the teeth, and carefully move it under the gum line and around the tooth.
